West Northumberland Community Buildings Consortium (WNCBC)
Welcome to the WNCBC website.
Northumberland’s Village Halls and community buildings can be found in some truly diverse settings – from tiny halls in remote rural hamlets to those which are integrated firmly into the larger urban centres that they serve. Something that all the Village Halls in Northumberland have in common is that they are on the doorstep of some magnificent scenery and a historically rich environment, and another similarity is that each community building (whether Village Hall, Church Hall, Community Centre or Sports Centre) remains at the heart of its community and continues to play a huge part in the social lives of residents and visitors alike.
WNCBC is a self-help group, run by its members for the benefit of all its members. It was set up to represent all village halls and community buildings of any type within the West Northumberland area. It is run by a management committee which is made up of volunteers from within (or closely tied to) the committees of its own members halls, and is further supported by Community Action Northumberland (CAN), who provide it with an administrative and advisory function.
A full list of the benefits of membership can be found here
